Oman’s very own pride, Nehad Agronomy Services LLC is an agricultural company, owned by Sayyid Al Muttasim Bin Hamoud Al Busaidi.

The first commercial farming enterprise in Oman, which is located in the Batinah Region and was established in 1979 with a total area of only 20 acres. At the time of it's humble beginning, only a handful of traditional crops were grown.

Over the last several decades, the company has expanded dramatically in all areas of cultivation, product range, post-harvest technology, and cold chain management. We adopt environment friendly and sustainable technologies. Nehad Agronomy Services now boasts of a cultivated area of 2200 acres, spread over 10 locations, and produces world class fruit and vegetables. The annual turnover exceeds US$ 10 million. The product mix not only includes traditional crops like dates, watermelon, sweet melon & tomato, but also exotic vegetables likes beans, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, color peppers, lettuce, sweet peppers, among others.

With farsighted vision, the company took up the challenge of growing flowers in Oman, and now takes pride in the commercial success of this project. We have a range of cut flowers which includes Cala llilies, Chrysanthemums, Gladioulus, Gypsophila, Lilies and Lisianthus.

The crops are produced using proven environmentally safe fertilizers and chemicals, combined with good agricultural practices. The company has set up its own composting unit for in-house production of organic manures, thus reducing the dependency on chemical fertilizers.

Special emphasis is on the post harvest technology, including packaging and transportation. The company has the only fully automatic tomato grading line in the entire gulf region, which grades tomatoes on color and weight, catering to a variety of client preferences. The company has cold stores on the premises, and a fleet of GPS monitored refrigerated trucks to keep the vegetables and fruits fresh from the farms to the shelves. The company boasts of the Best quality control measures. The Global G.A.P. & ISO 9001-2008, 22000 certifications ensure the quality of the processes that we adhere to.

The company has earned a strong name in the local market and in the neighbouring GCC countries, and has a reputation of producing top quality produce.
